Tamworth ladies needed all 3 points from this must win game, Stone just above Tamworth in the league started the game by going ahead with some excellent hockey. Tamworth responded with a tap in from Beth Sweet. Tamworth's hard work paid off with goals 2 and 3 coming in quick sucession from Stevie Oversby, some excellent passing and moving on the right from Cooper and Rowe resulted in Kate Barton scoring Tamworth 4th. Tamworth final goal was from a set piece which Sarah Arnold converted. A good strong team performance. Claire Hicks was awarded player and league player of the match. |
