| Match Report | A much changed Tamworth side travelled to Dudley for the game on Saturday. The team had only 3 regular 3rd team members so they were extremely grateful for the 4th team players who stepped up. The Town side started brightly with some confident passing and tackles, with the Dudley team taking a while to get into their stride, but once they had settled they then piled on the pressure in their attacking D wining a couple short corners, but these were well defended. Dudley then had a goal disallowed before they took the lead with a scrappy goal. Tamworth kept their heads up though and went on to create more chances and short corners, but the score at half time remained 1-0 to Dudley. The second half continued much as the first half with lots of end to end play with short corners and open play chances being created at both ends. A second Dudley goal was scored with a great shot from a short corner. Tamworth battled valiantly till the end of the game, but the score remained 2-0 to Dudley. Team POM was Laura Bostock and League POM was GK Vicky Butler. |
