| Match Report | A cold and frosty morning greeted the players for the match against top of the table Leek 3s on Saturday; fortunately the pitch defrosted and was good to play by the lunchtime pushback. Leek started brightly but there was a lot of end to end play. The opposition played well in the midfield and managed to push into attack and forced several short corners in succession. Tamworth defence fought valiantly but eventually Leek managed to score from one of the corners. This remained the only goal of the first half, despite lots of attacking from both teams. The second half saw lots of great passing moves from Tamworth creating several chances but they were unable to take them. Leek forced a number of short corners but the town defence held firm once again, Leek continued to keep the pressure on and converted two of their chances in open play. Unfortunately Tamworth were unable to convert any of their chances from open play or short corners and were left to rue their missed chances leaving the final score 0-3.
