Match Report | The ladies thirds secured a point in this hard fought match against Streetly on Saturday. It was the visitors who started the stronger and enjoyed the better of the first half as the town side struggled to keep up any meaningful possession, with Tamworth’s back three of Sarah Mugleston, Wendy Garrett and Vicky Sanford putting in some good tackles and clearances ably supported by goal keeper Vicky Butler who also made some good saves. After a reshuffle at half time Tamworth’s midfield quartet started to impose themselves on the game passing the ball around nicely. Meg Hogben and Jenna Wilson worked tirelessly in attack but the town side were unable to get that all important goal and the game ended in a goalless draw which was a fair reflection of the match.
