| Match Report | TAMWORTH suffered their first league defeat of the season in a top of the table clash with Market Drayton. They started brightly and created numerous chances, but it was Drayton who took the lead. Tamworth responded well and levelled through Tom Sperrink, who fired into the bottom corner from the top of the D. Drayton hit back, taking the lead before half time and extending it after the break. Tamworth produced a spirited fight back, and Ian Wagstaff reduced the deficit. Tamworth pushed for an equaliser, but were unable to complete the fight back. |
