Match Report | Cannock started brightly and put tamworth under pressure from the start. Ellie white was strong in defence getting the better of the Cannock right attack every time they moved forwards. A quick ball out of defence from Tamworths central defender Sarah Hutchins to becky moore to Marite Liepina-Liepa saw Anne Marshall pop the ball into the net to go into the second half one up against the run of play. Keeper Nikki Youngman was as dynamic as ever making numerous saves throughout the game thwarting every Cannock attack. Not long after the restart great passing between Marshall, Liepina -Liepa and juliette parry saw parry slot the ball home for a 2 nil lead. Tamworth were passing really well and pushed hard going forwards. A goalmouth scramble saw youngster Ella turner have great presence of mind to lift the ball over the prone keeper to make it 3 nil. Cannock did keep pressing forward and were rewarded with a goal to make the final score 3 1. Player of the game was Liepina-Liepa who worked tirelessly in midfield.
