Tamworth faced newly promoted Warwick Uni for their first home game of the season. As Warwick won the week before town knew that it wasn't going to be an easy game. From the start Warwick were very aggressive & quick on the ball creating many chances but Tamworths defence and Goal keeper Nic Youngman remained strong & focused to keep the ball out of the goal. Just before half time, Tamworth broke through Warwicks defence with some great passes down the left hand side to finish with Stevie Oversby smashing the ball into the goal. The intensity continued into the second half with both teams creating numerous chances but the score line remained 1-0, with Tamworth gaining their first 3 points. Player of the match went to Nic Youngman.
