After Ashby cancelled in mid-week, the ladies firsts were desperate for a game before league next week. Bournville were willing to play so this saw them come to Tamworth for a 9:30 start. From the start Tamworth played well, with good passing and movement off the ball. Within 2 minutes Stevie Oversby smashed in Tamworths first goal of the day, Gemma Rowe scored before the half time whistle. Even though Bournville played well and didn't give up until the final whistle, Tamworth kept the pressure on and ended up scoring another 4 in the second half. Gemma Rowe securing her first hatrick for Tamworth and Stevie Oversby doubled her tally. We go into next weeks league game knowing it will be a tough season but feeling confident after the two previous performances.
