The ladies firsts had a tough opening game to their new season travelling to North Staffs, who have recently been relegated from Midlands Prem. Tamworth didn't let this effect their game and created some good play with numerous chances. North staffs were strong and very well drilled. They scored the majority of their goals from short corner routines, apart from a smash that ended up in the top right hand corner. Tamworth didn't give up and this was rewarded with 2 goals from Alex Gayton.
