Match Report | The ladies thirds will look back on this game and wonder how they didnt come away with a win. The town side started brightly dominating possession creating a number of chances but as with previous weeks the side have struggled to score goals and they were made to pay as Leek took the lead against the run of play with a goal from a short corner. Leek then went on to score two more times in quick succesion to give them a commanding 3-0 half time lead. Tamworth regrouped at the start of the second session and once again dominated the play as Leek were restricted to a few breakaway attacks which were dealt with by the towns defence superbly marshalled by Kate Caddick. Elissa Morris had another fine game on the right side of midfield setting up a number of chances and also going close to scoring herself before Di Milner scored from a well worked short corner routine, Milner then scored her second following good build up play from Elaine Foxley and Claire Miles as the town sensed a comeback was on the cards. Tamworth continued to push forward but they were unable score more goals as a number of chances went begging with the opposition keeper also making a number of excellent saves as Leek hung on for the win. League and team POM Elissa Morris
