Match Report

The ladies thirds faced table topping West Brom ladies first team on Saturday losing 4-0. The town side made a slow start to the game as they struggled to keep any meaningful possession, and were put under pressure from a strong West Brom side.  Tamworth's back four defended well with goal keeper Lisa Moore making a number of good saves before West Brom broke the deadlock.  As the half wore on Tamworth grew in confidence as they started to string together some attacks with youngsters Elissa Morris and Hannah Jarvis combining well but the side were unable to capitalise on chances created and went into the break 1-0 down.  West Brom were quick out the blocks in the second session as they scored three goals in the opening fifteen minutes.  Once again the town side worked their way back into the game and played some nice hockey with Hannah Jarvis going closest to scoring for the town side.
