Match Report | The ladies thirds produced their best performance of the season on Saturday as they beat WATS 5-1. Tamworth started brightly moving the ball at pace with Helen Langford, Kate Caddick and Jo Goode combining brilliantly down the right flank. Di Milner opened the scoring within the first 10 minutes following a fine run from Claire Miles. The town side added a second soon after as Di Milner scored her second of the game before WATS pulled a goal back from a short corner. Jo Goode scored the towns third and the goal of the match as she finished off a flowing move that started in defence, chances went begging as Tamworth continued to pile on the pressure as they went into the break 3-1 up. Tamworth dominated the second half with Lesley Broadway at the heart of the towns good play. Two slick short corner routines saw first Claire Miles score then Lesley Broadway with her first goal of the season gave the town a well deserved win. League POM Jo Goode Team POM Lesley Broadway |
