Match Report | The ladies thirds finished the first half of the season with a heavy defeat to high flying Keele University on Saturday. Keele started the game in positive fashion putting the towns defence under pressure scoring two early goals. The town weren’t disheartened though and started to enjoy more possession with youngsters Elissa Morris, Hannah Jarvis and Meg Hogben combining well as they imposed themselves on the game but as in previous weeks Tamworth just lacked a bit of luck in front of goal, and Keele added two more goals to give them a commanding half time lead. In the second session Tamworth continued to compete well, Vicky Butler made a number of good saves and clearances, with Elaine Foxley going closest to scoring for Tamworth as she beat two defenders only to see her shot hit the inside of the post and clear to safety before Keele added four more goals to their tally.
