The ladies thirds suffered a disappointing loss to Stafford on Saturday. Stafford started the brighter putting Tamworth on the back foot from the off scoring two early goals. As the town side began to settle they started to play some good hockey with Elaine Foxley, Elissa Morris and Meg Hogben combining well down the right flank but the town couldn’t make the breakthrough. In the second session Tamworth enjoyed a greater share of possession with their play deserving of a goal, but it was Stafford who added two more goals to their tally to seal the win. There were good performances from Sarah Mugleston and Lisa Morris-Wood with Megan Hogben winning the team POM and Lesley Broadway the League POM awards.
