Tamworth continued to create opportunities but it wasn't until late in the half that they were able to convert their pressure into goals when Claire Miles scored from a penalty corner. A defensive lapse five minutes later gifted WATS an equaliser to go in all square at half time. The second half was more evenly contested although the town edged possession WATS were dangerous on the break and stand in keeper Lisa Morris-Wood made a couple of important saves before Tamworth scored their second, a strong run from Di Milner found Kate Caddick in the D her shot was blocked but fell to Sue Hogben who squared the ball to Fiona Whittaker for an easy tap in.
