Tamworth Men's First XI suffered a heavy 4-0 home defeat to local rivals Nuneaton on Saturday. Town had started the game well as they moved the ball around keeping possession and looking to find space in the channels. Unfortunately they were unable to breakdown a well organised and resolute Nuneaton outfit. The visitors scored twice in the first half and the game followed a similar pattern in the second period as Tamworth created few chances and Nuneaton took their to run out convincing winners and leapfrog Town in the table with two games of the season remaining.
