Match Report | Tamworth under 11's faced a stern test against a strong Sutton side on Sunday as they produced a performance of real quality to run out 8-6 winners. Sutton opened the scoring early on but the town side responded well as the midfield trio of Tara Wylie, William Morris and Harry Dorkins took control of the game with some slick passing. Liam Bampton scored a hat-trick before Sutton pulled a goal back. Tamworth were then indebted to goalkeeper Imogen Cooper who made a number of vital saves to keep the towns lead intact with defenders Alex Wylie, Bethany Roberts and Eden Collier also making some great tackles and clearances. Tamworth managed to keep their two goal lead as Liam Bampton scored three more to take his tally to six with Harry Dorkins and William Morris also getting on the scoresheet. POM Tara Wylie |
