| Match Report | The girls badgers played their first match of the season on sunday against a strong Lichfield side losing out 2-0. Lichfield started positively putting the town side under pressure but Tamworths defence of Tilly Bryan, Grace Megan Sophie Marshall and Imogen Cooper put in some excellent tackles to keep the Lichfield forwards out. The pressure finally paid off as goal keeper Caitlin Mason was beaten late on in the half and the town went into the break 1-0 down. Tamworth played with much more confidence in the second half with Hannah Channing and Nadia Williams combining well to set up some Tamworth attacks but couldnt put the final touch to some promising moves and Lichfield added a second goal to win the game 2-0.
