Match Report | The ladies thirds recorded their biggest win of the season on Saturday beating Stafford 7-1. The opening 15 minutes was evenly contested with both sides enjoying good spells of possession, but the town side found another gear as their midfield started to take control moving the ball around nicely, Di Milner broke the deadlock scoring two quick goals the first a super strike from the top of the ‘D’ and the second a deft reverse stick shot that wrong footed the keeper. Claire Miles added a third to give Tamworth a commanding 3-0 half time lead. The town side continued to dominate in the second session with Sarah Price and Hannah Male combing well down the right flank, Katie Mander capped a fine performance with two well taken individual goals. Kate Barton scored the towns sixth with an excellent reverse stick deflection and Rachel Rowe completed the rout with short corner strike into the bottom corner. Helen Langford had an excellent game in midfield on her return from injury. POM Katie Mander |
