Tamworth got of to a good start, distributing the ball well through the midfield however we it was soon clear we were up against some tough competition and within the first half we were 3-0 down. The second half we really pulled it back making the score 3-1 due Gemma Wheelhouse making a beautiful pass across the D to Chris Mander, who made a lovely deflection and scoring our first goal of the game. The score didn't change for a while after this, due to some fantastic hockey being played and our defensive line staying strong, not allowing their forwards to break through and score. however in the last 10 minutes Cannock dug in and scored a further more 2 goals resulting in the overall score being 5-1 to Cannock. Player of the match was deservedly Gemma Wheelhouse who played fantastically well and was a huge part to play in our single goal scored. Well done Gemma |
