Tamworth bounced back from last weeks performance with a 4-0 victory over Newark. From the start tamworth looked to be the better side, passing the ball around well with pace and accuracy. The home sides hard work and determination was soon to be rewarded with a well worked move down the right side to see captain Rebecca Popple smash the call into the bottom right corner. Even though Newark didn't give up and created chances of their own, the home sides defence was solid and denied any chances of Newark getting back into the game. Tamworths second goal came when Claire hicks showed some brilliant skill lifting the call over the keeper on her reverse stick into the back of the net. After the break, Tamworth continued to create chances and pass the ball around well, even with constant bad tackles from the away side, Tamworth did not lower their game and saw the third goal come from Stevie Oversby who deserved the goal after continuous solid performances thoughtout the season. Tamworth finished off the scoring with a brilliant assist from Rebecca Popple who smashed the ball into the D, which saw forward Steph Wagstaff on the end of it deflecting the ball into the goal before any of newarks defence could react. The home side had their best performance of the season so far. Man of the match went to Gemma Rowe.
