A depleted ladies thirds faced an uphill battle against second placed Phoenix Blues on Saturday losing 5-1 leaving the newly promoted side firmly routed to the bottom of the table. Phoenix blues made the best possible start scoring in the opening minute, this set the tone for the rest of the half as Tamworth were constantly put on the back foot conceding two more goals. The side competed much better in the second half but Phoenix blues added to more goals to their tally, Di Milner scored a consolation goal for Tamworth with a well taken short corner strike.
