Tamworth went into their first league game of the season with confidence & determination. The home side passed the ball around well & put endless amounts of pressure on the newly promoted away side. This paid off when the home sides first goal came from Alex banks early in the first half. Uttoxeter we're not going to give up & due to being a very well drilled side the away side had some chances, & came back to make the half time score 1-1. However, the home side were not going to give up & played their better hockey in the second half to score another 2 from captain Rebecca Popple. Man of the match was Rachel Rowe who had a strong performance at the back.
