Tamworth Men's First XI continued their preseason campaign this Saturday with a 2-0 victory of Yardley. Tamworth never looked under too much pressure from the opposition and were the better team for most parts of the game. Both goals came in the second half, the first from Ross Carter who deflected Ian Wagstaff's short corner strike past the Yardley goalkeeper. The second goal came from a well worked move which saw Tom Hancox convert from Andy Parker's cross. Tamworth have two more friendlies before their new league season begins.
