The second friendly of the season saw Tamworth take on Edgbaston who were promoted out of Tamworth's league last season to Midlands Div 1. From the start the home side passed the ball around well and pressured the away side in all areas of the pitch. The hard work was soon to be rewarded when a counter attack resulted in Alex Gayton scoring the first. Edgbaston didn't give up and came back with well worked passes and chances. However, the home side dealt with the pressure and kept the ball out the back of the net. Tamworth's second goal came from another counter attack, which left Amie Hyde to tap the ball in the back of the net. It was an all round good team performance and gives the team confidence to go into the last friendly of the season before the league starts.
